All American Heart Association courses are DVD based and meet recommended course time. "AHA recommended time for completion 1 to 1.5 hours. The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Dealing with children of different ages and child safety, checking for injuries and illnesses, rescue breathing for infants, breathing problems, seizures, shock, bleeding you can see, bleeding you can't see, head injuries, broken bones, sprains and bruises, burns and electrocution, eye injuries, bites and stings, poison emergencies.
AHA Heartsaver CPR and AED in Schools (Heartsaver CIS, adult and child CPR, AED, infant CPR, and response to choking) AHA certification/completion card is valid for 2 years. * $55.00 per student is a reduced price and includes the student manual (minimum group size is 6 participants). This course is designed for middle and high school students seeking a credential in CPR and AED and teaches relief of choking and use of barrier devices for all ages. AHA recommended course time: approximately 2-3.75 Hours. The AHA Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course Completion Card will be issued to those students who successfully pass the course skills test.
