Carlos is a Personal Trainer and former Aquatic Exercise Instructor and Lifeguard. His focus and passion is on therapeutic fitness training mature and older adults and helping individuals improve health, function, fitness and performance through functional exercise and adopting an active lifestyle.
He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Pacific University in 2010, and has focused on learning neurological and other aspects of physical therapy since then. Carlos is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at George Fox University and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2020.
After discovering his passion for working to sustain and improve people’s health, Carlos earned his nursing assistant certification in 2001 and then became an Oregon Army National Guard medic from 2001-2006. Always the cardiovascular enthusiast, Carlos is a veteran runner and has competed in several 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, one marathon, and sprint triathlons.
