Taking exceptional precautions training clients at high risk for falls and injuries is essential fort healthy and active aging and avoiding the need for hospitalization when no beds or health care professionals are available to provide treatment.
Regaining and maintaining functional strength, balance and mobility is now more important than ever. We do not want our older clients to experience a fall, fracture, traumatic brain injury or other injury.
Fear of falling almost always leaves a person more cautious and self limiting physical activity that leads to more sitting and lying down causing a decline in strength, bone density, balance, agility, and decline in cognitive health.
To retain function and health we discuss with our clients how best they want to receive training. Active and successful aging continues despite the Corona virus.
