For successful aging it is essential that we maintain balance, mobility and strength, twhich is the foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle that allows us to get up from a chair, walk a flight of stairs, getting in and out of a car and perforem our activities of daily living with ease.
Exercise interventions that promarily focus on balance and functional exercise with resistance training are most effective when compare to no exercise or other forms of exercise such as tai chi, dance walkking or resistance training alone.
