The #1 health insurance and #1 long-term care insurance plan is exercise and a healthful lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle includes a regular dose of Exercise, making Healthy Nutrition choices especially minimally processed low fat whole food plant-based foods, and

limiting stress in particular chronic stress to have the best chances for optimal health, physical function, fitness, for preventing chronic disease and illness and if you have an existing medical condition, these habits can help better treat medical conditions, and in the process saving healthcare dolllars over a lifespan .
A healthy lifestyle is like medicine, it staves of disease and helps us stay strong and vibrant as we age, slows down the aging process, allows us to keep our independence longer, help us extend our health span and possibly our lifespan.
The good news here is that even when you have a medical condition(s), have physical limitations and are at advanced age(even in your 90’s), changing your daily habits by incorporating healthful foods packed with nutrients to fuel the body, perform the recommended dose of daily and weekly exercise, especially resistance training, you can reverse symptoms and change the negative trajectory and bring you onto a path to improved health, function and a higher quality of life.

Reducing blood sugar, reducing resting blood pressure, healthy cholesterol levels, stronger muscles and bones, improving joint mobility and muscle flexibility are possible so that you can move better with more ease, reduce the risk for frailty and your reduce your chance for falling (falls are the #1 reason older adults 65 years and older lose their independence).
Lifestyle is Medicine, Exercise is Medicine and Food is Medicine are the movements to help you achieve optimal health and well-being, successful and vibrant aging where you as an individual is in the driver seat, not your doctor or insurance company. Remember that you are the CEO of your life, take an active interest in managing your daily lifestyle habits to make your company which is your body stand out from the rest with better health, function, a higher level of fitness and then thrive.
Set goals that are specific, measurable, realistic and behavioral. Specific Goal such as keeping your personal training appointments Tuesday and Thursday each weak. Measurable Goal are improvements in benchmarks, skills and tasks that you achieved during the personal training or therapy sessions. Realistic Goals that are short term and can be achieved, set them small so that you can be certain of success. Small steps lead to big rewards. A Behavioral Goal is being in the driver seat and sticking to the plan such as showing up for your training and doing the prescribed independent home work exercises.
Your health/fitness professional will be there to cheer you on, provide guidance and progress and adapt your exercise program as your body adapts to change. We are not with you 24 hours a day, you are ultimately responsible for your behavior. We don’t want you to stress to the changes you want to make in life.
The only constant thing in life is change.
Adapt, adapt again and adapt again to change in a healthy positive way.
Welcome to Your Well-Being
