Resilience

Resilience refers to how well you can deal with and bounce back from the difficulties of life. Resilient people have a level of reserve or a buffer zone with sufficient function, health, strength, and immune function. Resilience can mean the difference between handling pressure and losing your cool. Resilient people also tend to maintain a more positive outlook and cope with stress more effectively.

Building a resilient you begins with a purposeful action plan:

  1. selecting optimal fuel that enables your body to thrive

  2. avoiding sedentary behavior of too much sitting and lying down

  3. targeted exercise specifically to optimize function, health and fitness

This means that you need to consume daily nutrient rich foods that nourish and contribute to building up your immune system and not break it down, daily physical activity and purposeful exercise to optimize functional health, with strong muscles and bones and an effectively running cardio vascular and respiratory system that serves you to withstand what lives throws at you.
